These Syrah vines were planted in 2012, with the modern climate in mind. Petit Pérou, new to Syrah production, is captivated by the Syrah grape and harvests manually. Whole bunch, destemmed, with carbonic maceration after maturing in fine lees for 12 months. Dense dark red to the eye. Spicy violet notes on the nose. Silky tannins with good acidity lead into red courant, pepper and licorice flavors.
